Terms and conditions

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions that will apply to your stay at The Beach Escape @ Primrose Sands. It is important that you read and understand these Terms and Conditions prior to booking. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions then please contact us.

By paying your deposit you are agreeing to the following:

BOOKINGS

General

Guests must be 18 years of age or over to make a booking.

The property is not a party house and as such any gatherings, celebrations or entertainment are not permitted without written consent from the managers of the property.  Any breach of this condition may result in immediate termination of the booking, losing your bond (if any), removal of guests and additional charges (eg cleaning).

Pets are prohibited both inside and outside.

At least one of the guests staying at the property must be at least 18 years of age

Please provide a contact phone number, preferably a mobile phone number, a postal address and email address, to secure your booking.

Check in

Check in time is 2pm unless otherwise agreed with the proprieter. Please advise us at the time of booking if you would like an alternate time.

You will be provided with a unique electronic PIN code to access the property 48 hours prior to your arrival. This code will be active for the duration of your stay, and will automatically expire after your departure.

Check out

Check out time is 10am. Please advise us at the time of booking if you would like an alternate time. Extra charges may apply for late checkout.

Please ensure the door key is returned to the key hook in the kitchen.

Upon check out please ensure the stove, oven, televisions, air conditioner and lights are turned off. Please ensure all windows are closed and all doors are locked. You will be charged for the replacement of lost keys, at a cost of $10 per key.

Please wash all dishes, clean the BBQ and ensure the kitchen is left clean and tidy.  You do not need to pack away the dishes, i.e. clean dishes can be left on the dish rack to dry, or in the dishwasher.

An extra charge of $40 per hour will apply if the kitchen is not properly tidied.

Payments and cancellations

A deposit is generally not required, although this can vary depending on the time of year. If it is required, it is usually $50, and this is refundable up to approximately 7 days for check in.

Payment in full must be received 7 days prior to your arrival. If the date the booking is made is within 7 days of staying, full payment (including bond) will be required at the time of booking.

Cancellations and variations are accepted 7 days prior to your arrival.  The deposit component of your booking is non-refundable in the case of a cancellation within 28 days of your check in date. If you cancel outside of 28 days your entire amount paid to that point will be refunded.  We recommend that you take up travel insurance.

If the property becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. fire, flood etc.), we will endeavour to inform you immediately and all monies will be refunded in full.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking.

GENERAL

Guest responsibilities

It is your responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions before making a booking and paying a deposit.

A breach of these Terms and Conditions will result in, but is not limited to, you being evicted from the premises, losing your security deposit (if any) and / or other monies paid (or owed) by you.

It is accepted by you, that you will take due care of the property and facilities. You are responsible for any damage, breakage or theft that occurs during your stay, and will notify us immediately. Extra charges may apply to any damage caused by you to the property, and are to be paid before you check out. Any property damage over $500 may be reported to the police as malicious damage.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination and eviction without refund. Guests must contain noise at a reasonable level and, in particular, between 10pm and 8am.

Dispose of garbage (including emptying the fridge) and recycling in the allocated bins. If you are staying on a Sunday night, please place the bins near the curb for collection on Monday morning.

You are responsible for any visitors, and are liable for any damage caused by visitors.

You must maintain the security of the premises. Guests will be held responsible for any incident that occurs during their stay or upon departure as a result of the premises being left unsecured. We recommend you close windows and locks doors if you are leaving the house to prevent damage from rain or intruders.

Report any concerns about the condition of the property to us within eighteen (18) hours of arrival.

ABOUT THE PREMISES

General information

Photographs on the website are an accurate representation of the property at the time the photographs were taken and are subject to change with fair wear and tear.

We will endeavour to ensure all facilities are in working order prior to your arrival, and will advise you beforehand if there are any problems with the property.

We accept no responsibility for any inconvenience due to unforeseen faults with the facilities during your stay. In such circumstances, we will undertake best endeavours to repair, replace or hire an alternative.

The property is strictly non-smoking inside. Please close doors if you are smoking outside. An additional cleaning fee of $100 and additional costs for any damage caused will apply if guests smoke inside.
